Two updates that protect your club from ACH compliance risk, automatically, with nothing for you or your staff to configure.
Every bank account payment your club processes carries some compliance exposure under Nacha’s Operating Rules, whether it’s a new member’s first payment or a returning member reactivating theirs. Two recent updates reduce that exposure for you: one automatically documents proof of authorization every time a bank account is added, and the other keeps the authorization language your members see fully up to date with current ACH rules. Neither requires anything from your team. Here’s what’s new, and why it matters for your business.
Automatic proof of authorization, for every bank account payment
THE VALUE
If a member ever disputes an ACH charge, you need to be able to show they authorized it. Chasing down that proof after the fact costs your team time, and without it, you’re exposed to chargebacks, Nacha fines, and reputational risk.
THE BENEFIT
This proof is created and stored automatically the moment a bank account is authorized. You don’t have to ask a member to sign anything extra, and your staff doesn’t have to track it down later. If a dispute ever comes up, the record is already there.
THE FEATURE
Whenever a bank account is added to a member’s wallet, or a previously revoked one is reactivated, ABC Fitness automatically sends the member a confirmation and generates a PDF proof of authorization, stored securely and available anytime from the Documents section of their Member Dashboard. This works no matter how the payment method was added, whether through Member Online, online join, or your staff.
- Live now: email notifications for both recurring and one-time bank account payments started going out September 14, 2026. Text message delivery is coming soon for members without an email on file.
- Always on: because this protects your club, it’s part of every account and can’t be turned off, and it doesn’t honor location or member communication opt-outs.
- No added cost: there’s no fee for this feature. It’s included as part of protecting your business.
The one thing worth checking: this only works if a member has a valid email address (or, soon, phone number) on file, so it’s worth encouraging staff to keep contact info current.

DownloadAuthorization language that stays current with ACH rules, automatically
THE VALUE
Outdated or unclear authorization language on your payment and join screens is a compliance liability you probably don’t have time to monitor. If it falls out of step with Nacha’s rules, your club carries that risk, not just ABC Fitness.
THE BENEFIT
You don’t have to track ACH rule changes or update anything yourself. We’ve refreshed the authorization and revoke language your members see across payments and online join to stay current with Nacha’s rules, so your club’s screens stay compliant without any work on your end. It also means fewer confused members calling your front desk asking how to stop a payment.
THE FEATURE
We’ve updated the payment authorization terms in two places your members interact with most:
- Making a payment: when a member pays by bank account on the Make a Payment screen, they now see clear instructions for how to revoke that authorization, including how to reach us and how much notice is required.
- Joining online: the terms shown during online sign-up have been rewritten in plainer language, with clearer authorization phrasing and a standardized company name throughout.
- Built for Canadian members, too: clubs with Canadian members now show a dedicated authorization section that matches Canadian payment rules, including a longer revocation notice window.
Nothing changes on your end. If your club processes bank account payments through Member Online, online join, or in person, your members will simply see the updated, compliant language automatically the next time they interact with those screens.
The bigger picture
Both updates are about reducing risk for your business without adding work for your team: automatic, retained proof of authorization if a dispute ever arises, and payment terms that stay current with ACH compliance requirements without you having to track the rules yourself.
