ABC Ignite May 2026 Product Updates

[ABC-Ignite]_Blog_header-monthly-product-updates_2026-May

Faster, more controlled club acquisitions and clearer attendance rules for members and trainers

May’s releases focus on two priorities that matter to every multi-location operator: keeping portfolio changes organized and controlled, and making sure attendance is recorded accurately when classes and appointments run late. Location Acquisition moves a club transfer out of a fragmented, manual process and into a guided workflow inside IGNITE Management, while the Event Check-in Grace Period gives members and trainers a defined window to record attendance after an event ends.

Both updates replace workarounds with consistent, platform-enforced rules. The sections below explain what changed and why it matters to clubs.

Manage Your Business with Confidence

Location Acquisition in IGNITE Management

Club acquisitions have traditionally relied on scattered documents, manual coordination, and knowing the right person to call at each stage. Location Acquisition brings the full process into IGNITE Management. A guided four-step wizard covers the acquisition lifecycle from start to finish, and automated ownership transfer moves the location with live progress tracking, so teams can see exactly where each step stands.

Every confirmed step is timestamped and recorded in a full audit trail, and role-based access ensures the right people can act at the right point in the process. The tool is found under Administration in IGNITE Management, where teams can initiate and complete an acquisition without opening a support ticket.

  • Acquisitions to be initiated, managed, and completed end to end in IGNITE Management
  • A timestamped audit trail that records every confirmed step
  • Role-based access so each team acts at the appropriate stage
  • Less reliance on individual knowledge of who to contact during a transfer

Engage Your Members More Effectively

Event Check-in Grace Period for Classes and Appointments

Attendance windows were previously fixed on the server, so legitimate check-ins recorded after an event ended could be blocked. Late edits made through other paths sometimes created credit and training disputes that staff then had to resolve by hand. The Event Check-in Grace Period gives clubs a defined, enforceable window for recording attendance after an event closes, and it is currently available to clubs in its launch cohort.

Members can mark class attendance up to 60 minutes after the class ends, and appointment attendance up to 120 minutes after the appointment ends, on both web and mobile. Trainers can mark class attendance within the same 60-minute window, but they cannot mark appointments, which keeps the rules for personal training sessions intact. Once a window closes, the record is final. Grace periods are calculated from the event’s end time, so late-evening sessions that run past midnight are handled correctly.

This enables:

  • Legitimate check-ins to register after an event closes instead of being blocked
  • Fewer manual staff corrections and late-edit disputes
  • Consistent, server-enforced attendance rules across web and mobile
  • Personal training guardrails that keep appointment check-ins limited to members

Why These Updates Matter

Location Acquisition gives portfolio teams a structured, auditable way to bring clubs into their organization, and the Event Check-in Grace Period helps keep member attendance records accurate and easy to trust. Together, these releases reduce manual steps for operations teams and give clubs clearer rules to work from every day.
